RESOLUTION NO. 819

 

Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church located at 209-217 West 132nd Street (Block 1938/Lot 124), Manhattan, Designation List No. 385, LP-2164 (Preconsidered L.U. No. 414; 20075238 HKM; N 070328 HKM).

WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on February 9, 2007, a copy of its designation dated January 30, 2007 (the "Designation"), of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church located at 209-217 West 132nd Street, Community District 10, Borough of Manhattan, as a landmark and Block 1938, Lot 124, as its landmark site pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter;

 

WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter;

 

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on March 30, 2007 its report on the Designation dated March 28, 2007 (the "Report");

 

WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on April 11, 2007; and

 

WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation;

 

RESOLVED:

 

Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.
