RESOLUTION NO. 703

 

Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the New York Cab Company Stable located at 318-330 Amsterdam Avenue, aka 201-205 West 75th Street (Block 1167, Lot 29), Manhattan, Designation List No. 382, LP 2209 (Preconsidered L.U. No. 366; 20075168 HKM; N 070217 HKM).

WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on December 1, 2006 a copy of its designation dated November 14, 2006 (the "Designation"), of the New York Cab Company Stable located at 318-330 Amsterdam Avenue, aka 201-205 West 75th Street, Community District 7, Borough of Manhattan, as a historic landmark and Block 1167/Lot 29, as its landmark site pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter;

 

WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter;

 

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on January 11, 2007, its report on the Designation dated January 10, 2007 (the "Report");

 

WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on January 30, 2007; and

 

WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation;

 

RESOLVED:

 

Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.
