THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK

RESOLUTION NO. 1318

 

Resolution approving the decision of the City Planning Commission on ULURP No. C 050245 MMQ, an amendment to the City Map (L.U. No. 640).

 

By Council Members Katz and Martinez

 

 

                           WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission filed with the Council on November 18, 2005, its decision dated November 16, 2005 (the "Decision"), on the application submitted by the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Department of Transportation, pursuant to Sections 197-c and 199 of the New York City Charter, for a change in the City Map involving:  the establishment of Remsen Cemetery Park between Trotting Course Lane and Alderton Street; and any acquisition or disposition of real property related thereto, Community District 6, Borough of Queens, in accordance with Map No. 4981, dated July 25, 2005 and signed by the Borough President (ULURP No. C 050245 MMQ) (the "Application");

 

                           WHEREAS, the Decision is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 197-d(b)(1) of the City Charter;

 

                           WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Decision and Application on December 15, 2005;

 

                           WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Decision and Application; and

 

WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues and the Negative Declaration, issued on June 17, 2005 (CEQR No. 05DPR005Q);

 

RESOLVED:

 

                           The Council finds the action described herein will have no significant effect on the environment.

 

                           Pursuant to Sections 197-d and 199 of the New York City Charter, the Council approves the Decision.
