THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK RESOLUTION NO. 125 Title Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the Brooklyn Clay Retort and Fire Brick Works Storehouse located at 76-86 Van Dyke Street, Brooklyn, Designation List No. 332, LP-2108 (L.U. No. 96; 20025171 HKK; N 020280 HKK). Body By Council Members Katz and Felder WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on December 27, 2001 a copy of its designation dated December 18, 2001 (the "Designation"), of the Brooklyn Clay Retort and Fire Brick Works Storehouse located at 76-86 Van Dyke Street, aka 224-234 Richards Street, Borough of Brooklyn, as a historic landmark and Block 598, Lot 30 as its landmark site, pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter; WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter; WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on February 12, 2002 its report on the Designation dated February 6, 2002 (the "Report"); WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on March 5, 2002; and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation; RESOLVED: Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.
