THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK RESOLUTION NO. 1382 Title Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the Tremont Baptist Church, located at 324 East Tremont Avenue (Block 2803, Lot 26), the Bronx, Designation List No. 311, LP-2048 (L.U. No. 710; 20005236 HKX; N 000395 HKX). Body By Council Members Eisland and Sabini WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on February 16, 2000 a copy of its designation dated February 8, 2000 (the "Designation"), of the Tremont Baptist Church, located at 324 East Tremont Avenue, Borough of the Bronx, as a landmark and Block 2803, Lot 26, as its landmark site pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter; WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter; WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on April 12, 2000, its report on the Designation dated April 5, 2000 (the "Report"); WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on May 16, 2000 and recessed until May 18, 2000; and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation; RESOLVED: Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.
