Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the Ridgewood Lodge No. 710, Free and Accepted Masons building located at 1052 Bushwick Avenue aka 1052-1054 Bushwick Avenue and 1122 Gates Avenue (Tax Map Block 3339, Lot 19), Borough of Brooklyn, Designation List No. 473, LP-2541 (L.U. No. 132; 20155018 HKK; N 150068 HKK).

      WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on July 31, 2014 a copy of its designation dated July 22, 2014 (the "Designation"), of the Ridgewood Lodge No. 710, Free and Accepted Masons, located at 1054 Bushwick Avenue (aka 1052-1054 Bushwick Avenue and 1122 Gates Avenue), Community District 4, Borough of Brooklyn as a landmark and Tax Map Block 3339, Lot 19, as its landmark site pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter;
 
WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter;
 
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on September 19, 2014, its report on the Designation dated September 17, 2014 (the "Report");
 
WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on November 10, 2014; and
 
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation;
 
RESOLVED:
 
Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.
